Categorizing my YouTube Content.

I’m suppose to be learning right now, but I need to get this out of my mind first.

Right now, I upload random videos and I hate that. I want to categorize my videos because people subscribe to me because they like one particular video and they want to so me more of the same or similar. Most of my subscribers are from the Raspberry Pi videos and that’s fine, don’t get me wrong, but when I upload some type of content that I really like, subscribers will probably not watch it because that’s not why they subscribed. So, I will try to categorize my content. I still don’t know how I will do that, but here’s a basic idea:

-Raspberry Pi videos

-Fan Made Content

-Cinematic Content

Raspberry Pi and Fan Made content are the most popular. I enjoy making cinematic content the most and I would like to make short films too, but I have no idea if I will be able to do that. Raspberry Pi and Fan Made content are also fun to make, but I don’t enjoy them as much. The thing is, my fan base likes that most, so I will try to make that content the most.

Why I don’t post a lot of blog posts.

I’m back after about a year since the last blog post. I totally forgot I even had a blog! I think I didn’t post anything because I didn’t really know what to talk about. I still don’t know now but sometimes it’s just fun to write down an idea or something that you had in mind so that other can read. I’m really just starting to spread about this blog now, so hopefully there will be more blog posts.

Let’s wrap up 2011.

2011 was a good year - Awesome video games: Portal 2, Skyrim, BF3, Minecraft and many others, I met a lot of cool people, I visited a lot of cool places and over all - it was a good year. So everyone, happy New Year!

My Thoughts on Battlefield 3 Campaign.

I enjoyed it. It wasn’t perfect, although it was fun. Some missions really show of the Frostbite 2 engine - giant locations, huge explosions, cinematic cutscenes, fantastic animations and so on. The campaign was a little short, but hey, Battlefield games are made to play multiplayer so I can’t say much.

My weirdest dream.

Today I dreamed the most weirdest dream I ever dreamed (dream, dream, dream lol). Here’s what happened in the dream (dream again):

I was playing Portal 2 and suddenly someone ringed the door bell. I walked over to the door, I opened it and BOOM - Gabe Newell is standing in front of me. I asked: “Hello, what are you doing here?” Without any words, he walked over to my PC, clicked something and HL2 EP3 was loading. I was amazed, I thanked him and he was smiling. The loading screen was kind off weird - it was one of the Portal 2’s loading screen’s and it was mixed with C17 citadel’s. I can’t explain it very good…

So there you go! I guess you can say that I’m a Valve maniac or something - dreaming about Gabe Newell and EP3.

Project HL2XMod.

I’m working on a different project as I write this, so expect some grammar errors and stuff like that.

So, what exactly is Project HL2XMod? Project HL2XMod is a modification for Half-Life 2 on the Original Xbox (not the 360). What I’m trying to do is to run custom maps, make better graphics, make the game more smooth and stuff like that. The things if done so far:

-Read and edit .xzp files (cache files),

-Ran a custom map,

-Made an edited .cfg file with better graphics, but I need to add it to the .xz_ (.gcf type file, no way of opening .xz_ though),

-Remap the buttons to console commands,

-Added the DotA 2 version of the Valve Intro,

-And probably a few other things that I forgot to mention.

Let’s start with Lynx. Lynx is a program that let’s you open .xzp files and extract/inject content to it. The “tree” of .xzp looks something like this: cfg, materials, scripts, etc. Maps are hold in a folder, not the .xzp or .xz_ so it’s easy to replace them. The only problem is, you need an old version of Hammer to compile the map, otherwise it won’t work. Anyway, back to the .xzp stuff. .xzp are cache files, so everytime, if there is a change to the files, stuff from .xz_ gets extracted to the .xzp file. That’s why my graphics mod won’t work (atleast I think that’s why, remapping the buttons work though). If I would get a way to access the .xz_ file and edit the files, my graphics mod should work.

The HL2 Xbox modding community is pretty much dead, so if you would like to help me, or ask any questions about the mod, send me a PM to my YouTube channel. Thanks.

Oh, and here’s the video:

Hello!

This is my first blog post. Here I will post blogs about videos, mods and whatever I feel I should post.

Now, the first thing you will probably say is: “U COPY DA NOTCH TUMBLAH!!” Well, not really. I just really like this theme, so I will be using it in this blog.

Well, that’s all there is to say right now. In the next post I will talk about the “Project HL2XMod”. See you later.
